Warsaw boasts exceptional, wide, sandy beaches – both in the heart of the city and on its outskirts. Each of Warsaw’s beaches has its own unique atmosphere and a group of regular visitors. The beaches in the central area are visited by people from all over Warsaw, whilst those further from the centre are more local and intimate.
The Warsaw Beach Patrol is stationed at the largest and most popular beaches.
We modernised the beach in 2021. It features an interesting terrain and beautiful terraced steps. There are also picnic areas with comfortable benches and tables. The beach is managed by the Wawer District and hosts many local events during the season. A local ferry runs between Romantic Beach and the Wilanów shore. Swimwear is required on Romantic Beach, but if you walk further south, you may encounter sunbathers who prefer to go au naturel, i.e. naturists.

The beach is located on the right bank of the Vistula, near the Zawadowskie Islands nature reserve and a short distance from the South Bridge. It is the capital’s southernmost beach.

Romantyczna Beach in the Wawer district,
We created the beach as part of the participatory budgeting scheme. It is a green oasis separated from the riverbank by a riparian forest. Here you can enjoy a natural playground, a wicker maze, a barbecue and a fire pit. We have also designated picnic areas with comfortable benches and tables. The sports facilities include badminton and volleyball courts and a boules court. It is not a beach in the strict sense of the word, but due to its proximity to the river and its recreational function, we include it among our riverside beach spots.

A space for recreation, relaxation and fun near the river, close to the Gocław housing estate.
A local beach, quiet, sandy and long. Popular with families with children and older people. Also particularly loved by dogs and their owners.
Near the beach there is a small playground with swings and an obstacle course. You’ll also find designated areas for bonfires and barbecues. The beach is situated near rowing and canoeing clubs, so you may encounter enthusiasts of these sports and their boats there. Due to the gentle, sandy approach to the beach, boats and sailing yachts also moor here.
In the immediate vicinity of the beach, on the northern side, there is a space dedicated to Land Art (earth art). In 2024, as part of the Vistula District workshops, a village of wicker domes was created, which has become a destination for school and scout trips. It is an incredibly inspiring and picturesque spot, built from Vistula-side shoots of various willow species.

Located near Saska Kępa, close to the Łazienkowski Bridge. Connected to the boulevards via a ferry service (the ‘Słonka’ ferry on the route from Saska Beach to Czerniakowska Beach at Płyta Desantu).

The capital’s largest beach, just a short walk from Saska Beach along the Vistula path. There is a large natural playground by the beach, and nearby, in the Beach Pavilion, you can enjoy a restaurant, a beach bar and year-round toilet facilities.
The beach itself is wide, long and sandy. It has several areas for bonfires and barbecues. The beach offers views of Grzymały-Siedlecki Boulevard and the building of the Warsaw Rowing Society. The ‘Pliszka’ ferry provides an easy crossing between the banks here.
During the summer season, it is one of the most popular spots in Warsaw, filled in the evenings with small bonfires and groups of friends spending time by them. The beach is a popular choice for hosting events. It is the perfect beach for those looking for fun. The Warsaw Beach Patrol is stationed on the beach.

It is situated under the Poniatowski Bridge and stretches in both directions: south (towards Saska Beach) and north (towards Rusałka Beach).

A sandy, wide beach, full of thickets and small coves. Wicker domes have also become a permanent feature of the landscape; they lead a life of their own, sometimes disappearing, but there are always people willing to rebuild them. It is also equipped with barbecue and bonfire areas. A free ferry, the ‘Wilga’, runs between the beach and Karski Boulevard. To the south of the beach, in the thicket of the riparian forest by the recreational path, there is a playground with a natural beach and a water feature. The beach’s greatest asset is the stunning view of the Old Town. In summer, watching the sunset from Rusałka is a true spectacle of light and architecture.
A regular event on this beach is the “Four Seasons of the Vistula” maritime school organised by the Vistula District, which takes place every year in late November and early December.
The “Warszawski Plażowy” beach club is also based here, offering sports equipment.

Praska Beach is situated near the Zoo, with access from Ratuszowa Street. It owes its name to a fishing club that operated nearby for many years. Close by, near the so-called Florian (Cathedral Basilica of St Michael the Archangel and St Florian the Martyr), there is also the Rusałka milk bar.

Here you can make use of benches, fixed sun loungers and a children’s playground.

Białołęka Beach is situated by the North Bridge (Skłodowskiej-Curie).
The second beach is situated on the outskirts of the Białołęka district. We created it as part of the participatory budgeting scheme. The beach takes its name from the street leading to it. It is a grassy beach; you won’t find any sand here. Narrow but long and full of wicker structures for play and relaxation, it is situated on the edge of the Ławice Kiełpińskie Nature Reserve. It is particularly popular among residents of the surrounding estates.
If you take a stroll southwards, you’ll reach the mooring point for the Dudek ferry. The ferry will take you to Przystań Młociny free of charge.

Aluzyjna Beach
Situated in the beautiful and extensive Młociny Park, this tiny beach is part of the Młociny marina. It is designed for lovers of nature, birds and tranquillity. The sounds of the city do not reach here; there is only the forest and the river. The ‘Dudek’ ferry runs to the beach.
Location and access
The beach is situated on the left bank of the Vistula and forms part of the Młociny Marina. It is the capital’s northernmost beach.

Dudek Ferry – Młociny Marina
A small but much-loved beach, with children as its loyal fans. A playground, plenty of shade under the dense trees growing here, and the Warsaw Beach Club offering games and activities for children of all ages every weekend.
The beach facilities include two café-clubs, one of which has been the hub of Warsaw’s reggae scene for years. The Spójnia Sports Club is based at the rear of the beach. There is also a golf course and tennis courts nearby.
The beach in Żoliborz is situated where the river reveals its untamed nature. Rocks protrude from the water, and the current is strong and unpredictable. That is why only small private boats and kayaks dock at the wooden jetty here. You cannot take a ferry from there to the other side of the Vistula (though it is just a short walk to catch the ferry from Karski Boulevard). Nor do any other vessels of the Capital City Passenger Shipping Company dock here.

Żoliborz Beach and activities for children.
This is a small beach set up on the boulevard, which, in the heart of Vistula social life, makes you feel as though you’re on holiday. Here you can sunbathe, let the sand trickle through your fingers, close your eyes or gaze out at the river. Warsaw Beach has a sailing information centre there and will advise you on the nearest place to set off on a cruise.

The beach is located on Patton Boulevard, right in the heart of Warsaw.
There’s no better place to see everything that sails on the Vistula – vessels come and go to Czerniakowski Port. From the beach, you can spot all the vessels of the Capital City Passenger Shipping Company, kayaks, rowers and SUP enthusiasts. Towering over the beach, standing in the current, is the Glory to the Sappers monument. And if we add to the picture the view of Saska Beach and the free ‘Słonka’ ferry connecting to it, this tiny beach takes on great significance. And that’s not all: the legendary beachside cafés and the cultural and water sports events running throughout the season. This is the capital’s vibrant summer heart, beating to the rhythm of the Vistula.

The beach is charmingly situated at the foot of the headland, at the entrance to Czerniakowski Port.
