Green field information system

In 2023, we developed a visually consistent site information system. Green information boards provide information and education about the city’s green spaces in an accessible way. The boards have already been installed in many locations – including parks and squares managed by our department. To ensure consistent and clear communication across all green spaces in the city, we invite green space managers in Warsaw to join our information system. We provide production files to districts, housing cooperatives and residents’ associations.

The signs inform users of green spaces about the importance of respecting flora and fauna. In this way, we can, for example, protect birds during the breeding season, mark wildlife zones, warn residents that bread and food scraps harm birds, or ask dog owners not to let their pets off the lead when waterbirds are nearby.

The system of signs, designed by Ola Jasionowska, a graphic designer at the Green Areas Board, is appreciated by residents and green space managers. The signs also won an award in the Public Space Design category at the prestigious Advertising Creators’ Club competition.
